The Fiaga of the Aflao Traditional Area in the Volta Region, Togbuiga Amenya Fiti V testifying

The Paramount Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area in the Volta Region, Togbuiga Amenya Fiti V, has testified about how Bishop Charles Agyinasare prayed for the rains to stop in Aflao during one of his crusades in the area some years ago.

The Fiaga of the Aflao Traditional Area in the Volta Region, Togbuiga Amenya Fiti V testifying

Worshipping at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu, Accra, with a whole contingent of traditional leaders on Sunday, 26 January 20120, Togbuiga Amenya Fiti V said it was “a great honour for me and a great blessing to be here on the altar of blessings and hope”.

He told the congregation that Bishop Agyinasare “is my best friend, my brother and my godfather”, adding: “I have been planning to come here for many years but today, I’m here”.

SP Hukportie, Fiator (Father of kings and queens and the entire family) of the Avoeme-Aflao Traditional Area’s Senior Right Wing Division being annointed by Bishop Charles Agyinasare.

The traditional leader then testified to the glory of God about how the founder of Perez Chapel International commanded the rains to stop when the deluge began during a crusade in Aflao.

Togbuiga Amenya Fiti V’s testimony was thus:

Bishop was in Aflao for a crusade – a very big crusade, indeed. He came to the palace that afternoon; actually, I was very sick and my elders informed him that according to tradition, he can’t see me. He left and he came again, demanding to see me. So, they allowed him to come in. I was in bed with drips and other things on me – he was then very young, not with a [grey beard] – and he told me: ‘Togbui, why are you in bed? You are so young to be in bed; no, you’re not sick, get up; I have a vision for you! This man told me: ‘Togbui, you have to rescue this community, I have a vision that you’ll be one of the greatest kings in Ghana’. And, today, my name is everywhere: [in] every corner of the world; not only in Ghana. I’m now the Vice-President of the Forum of Kings and Traditional Leaders of Africa. I said: ‘Why is this man telling me to remove my drips and come for a crusade, why?’ I refused to go the first day [and] the second day; the third day, I went. And the last day I went in for the final crusade, ladies and gentlemen, it is very easy to pray for the rain to fall, but to stop the rain, it is not easy. The whole community was praying for rainfall for more than eight months; there wasn’t any rainfall. And that day, that fateful night, the rain was coming and I said: ‘Hey, my friend, the rain will destroy your crusade’. Then this man stood up; he said: ‘Togbui, let me beg your people, I know they are looking for rainfall but I’m praying for God to close the gates of [heaven]. He prayed for the rain not to fall and immediately after the crusade, the rain will fall; and really, it did. It wasn’t rainfall – water [was] coming from heaven for more than four hours. So, if somebody can just command or appeal to the Almighty Father to stop the rain, [then] I’m just here to allow him to conjure some blessings on me. I’ve been looking for the opportunity to take my own rainfall, and since then, we have been communicating; he’ll call me early in the morning and pray for me, call me in the evening and pray for me. I’m a member of this congregation. So, I’m here again to thank the congregation for giving my brother that needed support for the church to grow from strength to strength. He’s not in charge, it’s the Almighty Father who is in charge. Thank you very much.

After Togbuiga’s testimony, Bishop Agyinasare anointed him with oil and prayed for long life for the President of the Aflao Traditional Council.

“Father, we commit your servant into your hands, You called him at such a time as this; like you used Solomon, use him; like you used David, use him; protect him, protect his family, give him strength, health, physical vital like never before in Jesus’ name; take authority over every spirit of premature death; until he has finished his work, let him not step out in Jesus’ name, we call it done. Amen.

Togbui Amenya Fiti V’s contingent with whom he worshipped at the Perez Dome included SP Hukportie, who was recently made the Fiator (Father of kings and queens and the entire family) of the Avoeme-Aflao Traditional Area’s Senior Right Wing Division; Togbui Anubo IV, Dufiaga of Chief of Avoeme and Senior Right Wing Chief of the Aflao Traditional Area; Togbui Sedo Avoryi, Ewe Chief of Akyim Abuakwa Osiem; Nana Asumkaheema Owusua Sedo, Akyim Abuakwa Osiem; Mama Dunenyo IV, Sohefiaga of Abutia; Nana Afia Dakwaah, Akomu Obaapanin of Dunkwaw Kyekyere; and Nana Aminsimakese III, Oheema of Asebu Amantsindo and Gyaasehema of Asebu Traditional Area.

The others are Nana Esi Fiyemaa Baafua I, Gomoa Adzintem Mankrado heema; Nana Akwaboah Nyankomaa I, Odompo Odzikro heema; and Mama Aku Seme II, Queen mother of Mepe Avetakpor.

“Your spouse, children, parents, friends could be those selling you out” – Agyinasare

Bishop Charles Agyinasare

Bishop Charles Agyinasare has cautioned Christians to be wary of people close to them because they can be the very people who turn to sell them out.

Preaching on the topic: “Dealing with Household Enemies,” on Sunday, 5 January 2020, the founder of Perez Chapel International said household enemies are usually people “close to you” and “know your secret”.

“Normally, when we talk of household enemies, we are also talking about people in the same family or office or group who relate with you. So, it’s not just your biological family but the group you belong to etc. Out of there, you can have your household enemies. Most of the time, they are those who are close to you, they want what you have but they don’t get it through the right way, they don’t want it the right way,” he stated.

Using a picture of General Kotoka smiling at Dr Kwame Nkrumah to buttress his point, Bishop Agyinasare said Kotoka led a coup to overthrow Nkrumah just a day after smiling with him at the airport when Dr Nkrumah was leaving Ghana for Hanoi.

“I can also tell you of different instances where you will see pictures of either a head of state inspecting a parade and the people helping him inspect the parade, the following month or two, did a coup against him.

“So, household enemies are normally people who know you, they know your secret, they know your strength, they know your weaknesses and they are ready to sell you out.”

Quoting Genesis Chapter 4:3 – 5, Bishop Agyinasare said Cain killed his brother, Abel, because he could not stand his sacrifice.

“There are people in the same church with you, they can’t stand your commitment to God, even your spouse may not be able to stand even your giving to God. At times, your children or your parents may not be able to stand your sacrifice to God. When that happens, what they have become is your household enemies…,” he added.

Citing a personal experience, Bishop Agyinasare recounted: “When I got saved, after two months, I was privileged to go and live in a mission house and we used to have these pastors come from the regions to the mission house for their conferences and, one day, many pastors had come and I was pounding fufu for them and my hand was blistered. Then one of the deaconesses in the church said: ‘Look at you Charles, because you want to become a pastor, see how you’re killing yourself’, and I felt grieved because her children were not doing anything in the church and here I was doing it and I wasn’t doing it because I wanted to be a pastor and she wanted me to stop. So, I stopped for a few minutes and the Holy Ghost reminded me of a few things, then I said: ‘I will still do it’ and there are people who will not appreciate your sacrifice, they will want to stop your sacrifice but may nothing be able to stop your sacrifice.”

“Only cheap, weak men slap, insult their wives; shame on you!”

Bishop Charles Agyinasare of Perez Chapel International

Any man who slaps or insults the wife is a “cheap” and “weak” husband, Bishop Charles Agyinasare has condemned.

“Your wife offended you, you can’t forgive her; ‘I’ll show her where power lies’. And some weak men, your wife misses her words, you slap her; you’re a weak man.

“You say: ‘I’ll show her where strength lies’. Your strength is not in slapping your wife; if you slap your wife, you’re a weak man”, the Senior pastor at Perez Chapel International admonished the congregation during the second service on Sunday, 19 January 2020 at the Perez Dome, Dzorwulu.

He said a husband’s strength is not measured by how mercilessly he can pummel his wife to a pulp but in how he can still show love and affection even in the face of marital adversity.

“You’re strong when your wife has insulted you and you look at her and you can put your hands in your pocket and say: ‘Look, you can say whatever you like but I still love you’; that is when you are strong”, he taught the church, adding: “A strong man doesn’t beat the wife, so, stop being that cheap man; only cheap men beat their wives. Only cheap men”.

Apart from physical assault, Bishop Agyinasare also condemned husbands who hurl insults at their wives.

“Your wife insulted you, so, you, too, you’re insulting your wife: ‘You are smelling’. A man, you’re insulting your wife that she’s smelling. Shame on you! I said what: ‘Shame on you!’ You don’t tell your wife that; you honour your wife, you respect her”.

“She’s smelling and you want to [make love to her]”, he wondered.

The church must be Christ’s beautiful bride – Pentecost Chairman

The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyamekye, has said that the church is to become a beautiful bride without spot or wrinkle to be presented to the Bridegroom, who is Christ.

Apostle Eric Nyamekye

He explained that the church, like any other establishment, has a goal, however, the purpose must not be mistaken for a goal. According to him, the purpose of a thing is the reason for which that thing was established. That is, the goal is the end result or the terminal point of that thing.

“The purpose of the church is to possess the nations, but our goal is to become a radiant church without blemish to be presented unto Christ our Lord,” he expounded.

The Chairman said this on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 7th edition of the Ministers and Wives’ Conference ongoing at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC) in Gomoa Fetteh near Kasoa.

Speaking on the topic; “A Glorious Church to Possess the Nations,” Apostle Nyamekye noted that “the church has become very programme-packed and activity-oriented and this, if not checked, could cause the church to lose focus on her goal.”

He added that programmes and activities organised by the church are there to aid the process of achieving the goal, but they are not the goal of the church. “Let us not lose focus, let us keep in mind our goal, our end, which is to become a Glorious Church to be presented unto Christ,” he advised.

In his presentation, the Chairman touched on two vital areas that will help the Church realise its goal; the moral purity of the Church and the doctrinal purity of the Church.

Speaking on moral purity, Apostle Nyamekye posited that the Glorious Church must have two attributes; Agathos (morally and ethically good) and Kalos (aesthetically and beautifully good).

Reading from 2 Chronicles 22:5-7, the Chairman explained that David instructed Solomon to build a church that would have great magnificence, fame and splendour, in the sight of all the people.

“Implying that the Church must be beautiful on the outside and must demonstrate the loving character of Christ so that the watching world will look on and testify that indeed Christ was sent from God to redeem the world unto Himself and the Father,” he opined. (John 13:34).

He further expounded that the Church must have moral and ethical beauty. Reading from Ephesians 4:11-13, Apostle Nyamekye noted that “we all form part of the Church, no one person is the whole, but a part, as such, we must endeavour to live holy lives so that the end of the Church will be blameless, spotless and without any wrinkle.”

“Every leader is called to form a part of the body of Christ, which is the Church, and to mature into the fullness of Christ Himself; therefore, a crooked person cannot be part of this ministry,” he reiterated.

Touching on doctrinal purity, the Chairman stressed that the Church is a treasured property of Christ and must be protected from all false teachings and diabolic doctrines that may sway the Church away from the love of Christ. He, therefore, admonished all church leaders to make conscious efforts to present the unadulterated word of God to the church.

He added that “with great zeal and godly jealously fight against every false teaching and evil doctrine that may be spreading among the members so that we will not lose the cherished treasure of Christ, which is His bride, the Church.”

“The goal of the Church is to become a beautiful, radiant bride without wrinkle, a Glorious Church, if we miss this goal, we ran the risk of running in vain,” he concluded.

Don’t Be Afraid Of Death

Christians have been urged not to be afraid of death because it marks an important transition in their lives.

Reverend Lawrence Kwesi Tete, Minister in charge of Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) Grace Congregation at Tema Community 11, said it was surprising how Christians fear death even though they wanted to go to heaven.

Rev Tete in a sermon on the first Sunday of 2020, said because people were afraid of death, prophecies that had to do with death always scared them adding, most Africans believed that other powers were working in the realms against humanity.

According to him, “some people believe in the use of juju and other magical powers so immediately they hear of death, they are afraid and begin to run helter-skelter”.

He urged the public especially, Christians to believe in God and pray when such people prophesy death on them, asking them to also be charitable, cheerful and observe the tenets of the Christian religion.

He reminded them of Apostle Paul who knew very well that death was part of the Christian life and declared that when he lived he lives for Christ and if he died he died for Christ.

He noted that if Christians and the people who believed in God would do what was right and build a personal relationship with God, no one would be afraid of death.

He added that some people die due to natural circumstances, others also die from natural disasters that could have been prevented and some also die as a result of curses.

“Where people are taken to shrines to be killed and these are deaths which could be termed as premature deaths and therefore Christians could pray against it, ” he said.

He urged Christians to be assured of God’s redemptive power as they fought for their personal salvation so that when death came anytime, they would have confidence that they would be going to heaven.

STOP KILLING YOUR ENEMIES IN PRAYERS – FOUNDING PRESIDENT OF YOUNG ACHIEVERS MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL, ENOCK MENSAH

Founding President of Young Achievers Ministries International, Enock Mensah

Founding President of Young Achievers Ministries International, C.E.O of Achievers Print, General Secretary and Director for Media and Publicity at Youth-on-Fire School of Ministry, Enock Mensah has said, he has been hearing many Christians and men of God praying to kill their enemies in their prayers.

He said, going through the Bible, he realized it’s wrong to pray and kill your enemies, and that God doesn’t answer such prayers. God answering such prayers will mean, going against His (God’s) will.

He said, the bible gives us a clear intention of God over sinners. He wants them to be saved. Jesus said, there is more joy over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons.

He quoted Luke 15:7
I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. He said, according to him, if there is joy in heaven when one sinner repents, then there will be sadness in heaven when one sinner dies.

We see Jesus, how He responded to a man who was possessed with evil spirits according to

Mark 5:1-14
Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore you by God that you do not torment me.” He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” Also, he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand), and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea and drowned in the sea. So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened.

He said this was a man who was possessed by demons. Jesus asked his name and he said he is called LEGION.

He said Legion from the Easton’s Bible Dictionary means A regiment of the Roman army, the number of men composing which differed at different times. It originally consisted of three thousand men, but in the time of Christ consisted of six thousand, exclusive of horsemen, who were in number a tenth of the foot-men.

So the man was possessed by six thousand men (6000) – demons. He had the ability to break chains because of the demons in him. He said, Jesus could have invoked a curse or cause him to die because he believes the man had caused a lot of harm, in other words, he was a nuisance to the town yet Jesus saved him and the man began to proclaim to Decapolis which means ten (10) cities.

He said, everything shows that God wants every man to be saved because hell was not made for humans. Killing people who are possessed means sending them to hell. Instead of killing them, pray that they repent and receive salvation.

ANY PASTOR OR CHURCH MEMBER WHO PRAY TO KILL SINNERS IS OBVIOUS THAT THEY DON’T PRAY FOR SINNERS FOR THE SALVATION OF THEIR SOUL AND THAT THEY ARE AGAINST THE PURPOSE OF THE COMING OF CHRIST.

He said, in the days of Jesus, they were denied of entering a town (Samaritan village) to preach, James and John who were called the Boanerges which means sons of thunder asked Jesus

It’s obvious the reason Jesus came was to seek and to save the sinners. Jesus could have allowed the two disciples or call down fire Himself, but He didn’t because He came to save them. The character of God is revealed in Jesus, this means that what Jesus did was what the Father does. Know that anybody possessed by a demon is a human being that will face judgment, therefore you pray for them and not against them.

Easy-to-Read Version Matthew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly.

STOP PRAYING TO KILL YOUR ENEMIES, GOD DOESN’T ANSWER SUCH PRAYERS.

Sex Before Marriage, I Regret – Lady Prempeh

Sex Before Marriage, I Regret - Lady PrempehGospel musician Lady Prempeh has disclosed her regrets for engaging in premarital sex before she got married. In an interview on ‘This is Gospel’ on Hitz FM, she said premarital sex is “so disgraceful” although it is considered normal these days.
“That’s something, to me, I felt I shouldn’t have done it. I should have waited till I get married,” she stated.Lady Prempeh added, “premarital sex looks normal now but if you know whom you’re serving, that’s a no go area for Him.”
She advised fans to follow the teachings of Christ especially in so-called contemporary times when premarital sex and other worldly life is considered the norm.“If you have to follow this path you must be on it. Don’t try to sway or go your path and believe God to come with you. No, you have to go his way,” she advised.Sex Before Marriage, I Regret - Lady Prempeh
( A Little guild to prevent and not to condemn )What does the Bible say about Sex Before Marriage ?

Here are 9 ways to battle sexual temptation.

1. Avoid Tempting Situations Winning early means staying away from traps. The last thing you want to do is find yourself alone with the object of your unhealthy desires, whether it is images or actual people.

2. Consider The ConsequencesWhile pondering the object of your desire, also ponder the consequences of action. Is it going to help or hurt your marriage? Think about where your actions can lead you when Jesus comes.

3. Avoid PornographyBesides the obvious reasons that avoiding porn will help guard against lust, there are psychological reasons as well. Porn creates unrealistic expectations and desensitizes our minds towards our partners or friends.

4. Use Social Media with Caution. There are many benefits of social media, but there are just as many pitfalls. We are reunited with people from our past and introduced to those who are new. Old sparks can be renewed or new ones can be lit. So you can stag on a Christian Blog like this, to help spend meaningful time online.

5. Question Your Intent Most times, when our minds wander sexually, we aren’t really seeking pure sex. We are seeking to replace something missing in our lives and our relationships. It could also be that we are trying to distract ourselves from dealing with something difficult. For each man, these things will be specific to his experiences. Figure out the root issue and work to correct it.

6. Consistent Prayer is the act of communicating your thoughts, worries, hopes and dreams to God. Lift up the desires you are feeling and ask for help. God made you and knows you and can deliver you time and time again.

7. Choose Your Friends Wisely When battling sexual temptation, there are plenty of people we can find that will encourage and enable it. You can still be their friend, but by all means, avoid joining them in their poor relational choices.

8. Keep High Standards To be a gentleman is a choice. A very good choice, and this world today needs many more. Despite the vast amount of temptations that life throws our way, we should hold ourselves to the highest of moral standards. Self-discipline in all areas of our life leads to positive results.

9. Redirect Your Passion Rather than being controlled by untamed lust, direct that passion in positive directions. Use that energy to brainstorm about ways you can bless your wife. Perhaps focus on things that will make the world better like volunteering at a homeless shelter. Coach a youth sports team. Mentor troubled individuals
